Hence our perfect relationship with Funny or Die. The website produces comedy videos with both well-known celebrities, up and coming comedians and anyone with a funny idea.

Founded by one of the funniest men in comedy, Will Ferrell along with Adam McKay and Chris Henchy, the site hosts the videos and allows for the viewers to judge and critique the videos that are sent in. Their system of viewer-voting allows for the videos to be filtered out so the videos that are funny can become popular and those that aren’t can get lost in the mix.

Working with Funny or Die, at Directors Live and Loony Birds we hope that we can show off the newest and funniest videos hitting the web each day.

We’ve been putting in early mornings and staying late doing research and crunching numbers. We’ve been delving into how media networks value their contributors, and how they show it. And after some pretty exhaustive work, we’ve come to one single conclusion. That everyone does it differently, and that we’re shocked at how some companies undervalue their contributors!

Less than a handful of companies had a legit, clear revenue or pay model. The others were incredibly vague and ironically unclear about what and how they pay their contributors. So we decide to write a model that made us competitively compatible with some of the most successful media networks online. We worked out the numbers and they made sense.

So we’re adding new opportunities today, for bloggers and writers to contribute and have their voices heard on a platform that delivers fresh, entertaining and interesting content to a voracious audience. We understand that our contributors have a passion and choose our platform to share it. And we value that. Here are some details regarding the program we’re introducing:

Our contributors will be paid a $5 for every 1000 views collected on their content. A $5 CPM is a phenomenal rate, and among the highest of any online blogging program. This is a portion of the revenue that we make, prior to our own expenses. With what we’ve experienced so far, we expect a writer with very little experience to earn an average of $500 a month. However, we’ve seen experienced writers with vast social media knowledge, earn significantly more.

Furthermore, top performers will be rewarded on a monthly basis with incentives such as:

Ipads
Macbooks
Cameras
Editing Software
Tickets to Festivals
Invites to Company Events
Movie Tickets
Gift Cards

When we began our social blogging platform, we had a goal to stand out from other networks. We’ve played with different models, and have finally fashioned a system that rewards and encourages growth and creativity. We believe that in being transparent with our contributors and providing a performance based revenue model, our contributors will be among the few that know they are valued, and can offer the best of themselves to the world if we offer the best of ourselves to them.

These featurettes often include cast and crew interviews, behind-the-scenes looks and set tours. But thanks to our partner, MakingOf.com, we no longer have to wait until a DVD hits the stores; we can get it when the film is in the middle of being made.

Making Of is a site that takes away the waiting by bringing interviews and behind-the-scenes looks as the film is in production. Making Of features both studio and independent films and hosts a variety of interviews and videos. The site was founded by Natalie Portman and Christine Aylwrd and in addition to bringing about great content; it allows the film community to have a place where they can discuss any aspect they want.

With Making Of as one of our partners, over at Directors Live, we always look forward to all of their great and exclusive content. The teaming up of Directors Live and Making Of definitely helps bring great content to both the film community and the masses.

Focusing on the sounds aspects of film, the Sound Works Collection began in 2009 by Michael Coleman. The video series takes in depth look at the sound production that goes into movies, from the dub stage, to the film’s score and even down to the folly sounds. The behind-the-scenes looks and interviews bring out a side of the film and TV realm that we rarely get to see.

At Directors Live, we prefer to look deeper into the filmmaking world and our partnership with SoundWorks definitely helps bring that to the forefront. We get to feature their amazing shows and interviews and with all the great movies that are coming out this year, we couldn’t be more excited.

Yeah, the ink is still wet, and there’s still a complete remodeling that needs to take place. But the deal is sealed. DigiMogul Studios is here! And it’s only the first.

Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, our new 6000 square foot warehouse will be converted into a film and music studio, complete with green screen, editing software, audio booth and live streaming capabilities.

We have so many plans involving a lot of creative and talented new partners that we’ve met both out in LA and nationwide. From music videos, to webisodes, we are so freaking excited about the future. We’re going to be delivering some incredible original content to our viewers that we know you’ll love. We’ll keep you updated on the progress and projects that are coming in the near future.

Oh, keep in mind, we are always looking for new partnerships and opportunities to work with great people. If you’d like to see where you fit in, just take a look at our verticals.

And who knows, maybe a ridiculous grand opening party might be the very first thing we do. I mean, we’ve got to have our priorities straight. We call it, incentive.

By most measures, DigiMogul would appear to be a fledgling social blogging community among mega media vultures! But if you take a closer look, you’ll discover that we have some larger than life things going on here. Between opening our new studio, adding 7 new in-demand verticals, and literally thousands of contributors to our network, you might start to wonder if we are silently attempting to rule the digital world. At this point, DigiMogul has most of it covered. But in case you don’t know exactly what we do, well here it is:

Yeah. We get around. But unlike most networks, we get to the point. Stay tuned.

Starting today, music fans are able to enjoy VEVO’s exclusive music video premieres, live music events and originally produced series on popular web destinations, including ArtistDirect.com/Rogue Network (music news), Batanga (Hispanic music news), Gorilla Leak (indie music), MeFeedia (video recommendations) and Canadian TV properties Entertainment Tonight Canada and AUX.tv (Glassbox.tv). In the coming weeks, VEVO will also power music video programming for Synacor, which provides white-label entertainment portal solutions to companies including charter.net.

These partnerships contribute to VEVO’s fast-growing scale and reach online and across mobile and connected television. More than 45,000 premium music videos from over 7,500 artists are available across VEVO’s properties as well as syndication partners including YouTube, AOL, BET, Fuse.tv, Last.fm, MP3.com and Univision among others. VEVO’s popular original series include GO Shows (impromptu live performances held in venues meaningful to the featured artists like The Airborne Toxic Event, Kid Cudi and Florence + The Machine), Stylized (a series exploring how music and fashion mutually inspire) and ASK:REPLY (an interview series which lets fans submit questions to their favorite artists via Twitter and Facebook). VEVO also produces marquee live events under the banner VEVO Live.

“We are committed to growing the VEVO platform so that we may bring our premium music experience to more people in more places,” said Julie Lee, Executive Vice President, Business Development and Business Affairs, VEVO. “Our new syndication partnerships allow us to reach a diverse audience – from the passionate indie music fans of Gorilla Leak to the Hispanic music fans of Batanga. We believe everyone should have access to enjoy great music programs and we are thrilled to bring it directly to many popular web destinations.”
